Michael,
I use menus a lot. If you currently have only one menu, it will become
the first menu. Use a selection number from that menu to create your
second (sub-menu). Then Yes, you will need to move your current menu
panel and report selections to the sub-menu. Once you do this, you can
password protect menu options. I create a menu selection 98 to my panel
list and 99 to my report list, password protect them and leave them off
the menu selection list so only I (and now all of you) know they are there.
If you have ever edited the .str with the shell editor, you can copy and
paste your current menu information in the .str file (You will have a
backup correct?) with the editor.
Good Luck, after you have a master menu you can create additional sub
menus at will.

Thanks for the suggestion - I tried /z=1 which bypasses my menu and
takes me to panel 1 but exiting exits completely without going to
the menu.
Were you suggesting moving my menu to a sub-menu and having an
effectively dummy main menu?

The /z=n where n is a menu item on the first menu take the user to
that menu item which of course can be a submenu, or directly to a
panel etc. and when the user exits that menu item exits out without
going through the Create New Database etc screen... Its a way of
hiding everything but the menu options you choose from the user...
