Hi Tim:
Thanks for responding!
I did check the list of printers, it's going to the networked Okipage 10ex
on Windows 2000 on my main computer (my laptop hooked up on wireless
network). I followed your directions for having dpspool monitor
"c:\programs\dpspool" for printing. Also inserted the file name generator
RV along with the "begin writing to filename" command in first page header
of report:
cat.c["C:\programs\DPSPOOL\";
apply.format["G999";today-date[1;1;year[today]] + 1};
apply.format["g99999";now];
".{1}"]
Report parameters set to "create disk file" and filename: "c:\NUL", file
mode: "wordperfect" and text lines 80 (all other margins set to 0).
I can see these print jobs appearing for the printer queue from that
directory when it prints. Apparently DPspool recognizes my folder for jobs
because it prints up reports but ignores any dpspool font or margin codes.
As an experiment I tried a very simple report with just a font change alone
(<244>Fcomic<244>) which didn't do anything either.
Jon

Jon,
Make sure that you have the correct printer driver selected in DPSpool. Also
make sure that you've got your reports configured so that DPSpool is
actually processing the output (i.e. sending the report to an appropriately
named file rather than directly to the printer).
If you need further assistance, post back here.
