If it really bugs you, you can do this:
1) Create a hidden recursive link that links back to the same panel and
record - so that if you go through the link you land on only the same

you started from.
2) Create your computed field with the data you're wanting to display

3) Create a window for the hidden link created in step 1 above and select
your computed field to be displayed through the link. Position and size
the
window directly over the field.
Now when the user is in Browse mode, the window will display and will show
the field contents in panel text color. However, when the user goes to
Edit
or Create mode, the window will disappear, leaving the field shown in
panel
field color.
That's about the best you could do.
Would I do this? Nah. It isn't worth the fiddling. Just educate your
users.

When designing a DataPerfect panel I try to make things as clear as
possible and differentiate between Field Labels and Field Data by using
different Panel and Field colours,
for example: Panel & Field background colour C, with Panel foreground
colour O and Field foreground colour P.
There are however occasions when a Field Label has to be replaced by a
conditional field so that it only displays under certain conditions but
then it displays in Field colours and can be a little confusing visually
for inexperienced users.
I was just wondering how others tackle this situation.
