Thank you, Matt. Have not yet hooked up the computer to a printer, but I will be stand-alone in any event. The "grapevine" advises that there are fixes coming on a daily basis. In the interim I have my "old" pc which is working fine, and will stall the change-over until I have no other choice. Yes. Just getting a Vista station on-line, after weeks of trying (not constantly trying, just an hour here and an hour there). Complete pita, in astonishing ways. For example, you could not do a test print from Windows add-a-printer routine to an HP LaserJet until about a month ago. Nor could you print to most HP Laserjets from any windows program. If you don't believe me, go over to HP.COM and check some forums. I am compiling notes to myself so that station #2 is easier to deploy. I will post them sometime. Mind you, I violate some standard "good" security practices to enable editing pif's etc, so you should not accept my notes as "correct." They are simply what I find to be convenient. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Michael Flamhaft Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 11:03 AM To: DataPerfect Group Subject: [Dataperf] Vista Operating System Does anyone have any experience yet with the VISTA operating system? I'm still running version 2.6E on my "old" computer and would like to migrate to the new one. Always love the dialogue I see here.
