Victor - at first glance it seems to me that you could accomplish your first objective by "building" (for the lack of a better term) an RV that each time it dipped down into the subreport added the next last name to what was already collected. The RV would have to start out blank (obviously) and then probably add through a cat.t formula the last name plus a space or other separator and then be printed out once you've left the subreport. I would expect that the printing takes place at the end of the report so then you'd insert the RV into the paragraph.
