That thought had occurred to me, but I couldn't see how that could be the
problem in this case, as there is done nothing with the current date in the
report body. The only thing the report does, basically, is print out the
contents of a lot of cards.
Anyway, I tried removing everything related to the date, but it didn't help,
unfortunately.

Sorry it didn't help. One way to confirm it is not a date related
problem is to temporarily change your system date to a date when you
know the report worked
