I think you can also simply share the printer (if there is a network), and then just type
NET USE LPT1 \\computername\printername <file:///\\computername\printername> at the command prompt at any station to use the printer in DP. DP sends printout to LPT1 and windows will reroute it to the printer. ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Don Friedman Sent: Tuesday, December 11, 2007 2:18 PM To: Dataperfect Users Discussion Group Subject: Re: [Dataperf] DP Does Not Recognize Printer Malkie - DP needs a DOS-compatible printer and I suspect that the Brother is a purely windows printer. I suspect that you need to use the popular DP printing program to make it work. Others here are certainly a lot more conversant on this topic and I hope they pipe in. Good luck. They have no problem printing from Microsoft Word and from other programs on this printer, but for some reason, DataPerfect doesn't recognize it and it prints blank pages. I don't possess this printer and I'm not at the location where they're having this problem. Does anyone know how to set it up to work with DP?
