Hi Brian,

Yes, I would like the option to display that during print.

As for Ralph's recursive link incrementing: I developed an application for the US Forest Service local office, which very much paralleled my DP app. As all of us know, the automatically incrementing number field, available in most if not all dbs, have the problem of missing numbers if that record is deleted.

Now in scrolling through the data, if you have a missing record number, there isn't any way to know if the record was deleted, an error made in the creation of the record which used up the number, or if there is a problem with the data.

Most folks just ignore this, I guess, but my client and I as well, refused to accept that this was necessary. So after much reading, head scratching, coffee, and time, I found a way to duplicate this in Access. It worked fine and the client was very happy.

Hi Rich,

Yes 2.6x is generally necessary when you are working with XML output.

At the moment the Table of Contents and the View selections are hidden when you print, would you like an option for that to be displayed during print? The major reason I have even the view options is so I could selectively cut down the amount being printed, but it is quite easy to change that... Have I understood you correctly on that?

I think Ralph's recursive link is one of the best pieces of DP work I have seen... I toiled with that problem literally for years, however I was only using one link and kept getting all sort of inconsistencies, when I saw Ralph's solution and explanation it reinvigorated my love for DP.
