Hello Group,

I committed the mistake of working with two versions of the same database
and have the .str of the one I saved out of synch in an ::I field. The next
number is lower than the one I need and will not let me create the next
record.

I guess I can delete the records that are greater than the threshold number
- 15-20 records with child records - and recreate them - a task I'd like to
skip. I am looking for a "fast track" solution.

I normally use Ralph Alvy's fantastic recursive link function to increment
related and absolute fields. This one snuck under the radar.

Can I dpexp the db and fix this in the .ste by replacing the last number in
that field? ... and then dpimp it?

I look forward to your comments and suggestions.

All the best to all,
Tony
