Hi Chris,

Generally the combination is set up on a Linux box as a LAMP server. There
are lots of LAMP server setups PHP and MySQL are both very good.

The setup in the DP Web tutorial is just a configuration that is very
easily set up, especially for someone not wanting to know much about the
internals except how to write a web form and the DP web reports. Most
importantly many people will not necessarily want to install all this
permanently on their main Windows PC so its main features is that it is
easily removed. Perhaps for its quick removal I should, in the words of Bugs
Bunny, call it a WAPD server.

Bye

Brian
