Thanks Colin,

Yes your first post got through. By increased real estate, I assume you mean
being able to expand into the help message area?

Brian,

I agree with all that you said, and usually follow that path. That being
said, I have to confess that I have a dirty little secret - I have a hobby.
I raise and show purebred guinea pigs (cavies), and my primary breed is
Abyssinian, which are required to have 10 rosettes, in expressly specific
locations. I was/am trying to make a graphic representation of the rosette
centers, using a 3 x 5 grid for each rosette.

This has to be viewed with Courier font for alignment purposes.

      head
       ?
      /|\
  . / | \ .
---+---+---+---
...|...|...|...
...|...|...|...
...|...|...|...
...|...|...|...
...|...|...|...
---+---+---+---
...|...|...|...
...|...|...|...
...|...|...|...
...|...|...|...
...|...|...|...

I replaced each dot in the above diagram with a field, A1, and then can fill
any field with a character to visually locate the rosette center.

You can see a photo of an Abyssinian here:
http://www.acbaonline.com/breeds/abyssinian.html

I can use different characters to represent various qualities of the
centers:

Alt-250 . Pinpoint center
Alt-249 . almost pinpoint
Alt-007 . slightly open
Alt-079 O open center
Alt-232 F slighty elongated
Alt-058 : possible double
Alt-236 8 horizontal double
Alt-056 8 vertical double
Alt-179 | vertical gutter
Alt-196 - horizontal gutter

These all show up correctly in DP, but not here.

And if there are multiple centers I can show that as well.

Ralph and Robert,

Thanks, as I had not counted any possible links. I will have a link in the
parent panel to the rosette panel, any usually have a reverse link back to
the parent. Without any links, I have 123 fields, so maybe I can skate.

Hi Joe,

I agree, and I think that I tried to do that at one time. I don't remember
what the result was. May have to dig around to see what I can find.

One question that still needs to be answered, with the various updates that
Lew has given us, what are the current capacities, as was listed in Appendix
E, in the DP2.3 manual?
