Hi Tony,

This is Hal Borhauer, I wrote the DP application you are talking about.
Your description is fairly accurate, except for the Internet integration
part. There are three components to the system.

First is the DP app its self where call information is entered into the
DP database by a call center person.

Second is the Trimble Navigation GPS communication system that sends and
receives a data stream with the tow trucks.

The third part is the C++ written CAD interface between the DP app and
the Trimble system. Trimble gave us the data stream format and Steve
Patamia helped me write the CAD interface software.

We use a separate DP panel that identifies which fields to put the
returning data into.

I sold the company and retired when my wife became ill in 2005. As for
current use, the towing company recently changed do a Windows based
software my former employees are telling me has far less features and is
more difficult to use. But you know corporate America if it is DOS based
it must not work as well as a new Windows app.....

I still own the copyright if that can help you.

Let me know what you are looking for. If it is Web interfacing, I did
not get there. Your best bet is to work with Bruce Conrad or Brian
Hancock for Web integration.

Good Luck! I hope that helps.

Hal
