I don't know anything specifically about Colin but I have heard from my daughter's mother-in-law who also lives in Christchurch and she tells us that things are not that bad but they were lacking power, communications and in some areas water. She lives in a fairly modern residential area and there was no easily apparent structural damage in her area. We can only hope that Colin is as fortunate.
