> Don Hi Don, The reason for that is that the Inventory panel is itself the target of a data link coming from a third panel, 'Merchandise Sold'. Values of several fields, among them 'Cost of most recent purchase', are transferred to the third panel through this link. It seemed to me that a real field would be better here, because it could be included in the index of the data link, and in the link list, in order to have its value transferred to the third panel. Perhaps this can also be achieved by a formula, but I am not sure. Good luck with your data recovery!
