I apologize for releasing the REPER database before adequately testing it.
It turns out that larger STE files have many lines longer than the 78
characters which REPER supports. That effectively makes it unusable in
practice, although it was a fun project.

If you change P1F2 from A78 to A78A3, then it will import an STE file, but
only if you add a character (such as the back tick) to the end of each line
first.

Besides the STE format, I have had success with this method of importing and
parsing XML, HTML, VCARD, and GEDCOM file formats.
