Chris, this is a long term limitation (bug if you prefer) in, I believe, all versions
of DataPerfect.  Internal character strings are limited to 78 characters (not 80)
in length.

Extending this 78 character length limit has always been my number one item
on my "wish list" to Lew.

If you'll change your second test output format to A0A0;;B you won't get an
extraneous CR.

Good luck.

Is this a recently introduced bug, or am I misremembering.  I thought this worked fine under older versions of dp.  Also wonder if there is a better way of handling the issue

String A = "45 characters long"

RV1=Cat.c[StringA;StringA]
Print RV1[a200]

Print this to a file, and it truncates as A80

RV1=Cat.c[StringA;StringA]
Print RV1[a200a2]

And the output is fine, exept I've got a CR I don't want.

????

Thanks

Chris
