Hi Don, I'm not having issues with tame 6.0 on Window server 2003. From memory I used std setting and I think tame 6 has ability to fine tune itself during the 1st few times of use. Tame 5.0 I had several issues with and never got going properly. But Tame 6.0 has been a breeze. It hasn't even been "set and forget" - Its really just been the "forget" part. Your email got me to have a look at the Tame viewer again - which I haven't done in months as it hasn't been a issue - 5 Users here each with some 7 to 10 versions of dataperfect all running concurrently without a hitch and lookups are instantaneous. In Tame View under options what settings are showing up?
As long as you have the file "Register.Txt" in the tame directory the licence carries forward to all newer versions. If not - something like "evaluation version" appears at the top of your window of the program you have open. They seem to hang only eventually getting me where I'm going when I press <Enter>. Without TAME I'm not able to run Windows apps all that well and right now I need both concurrently. Is there a tweak setting that might help with this? Otherwise it's working fine, better than I remember earlier versions. Also, I still have my original release of V3.4 on disk along with a users book, etc. Is my license still good for this?
