Hi folks, WP5.1 and later DOS versions can and will run under Win 7. Both 32 and 64 bit.
Ed Mendelson has worked on these issues for years. Check out his site: http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/wpdos/ He is also active on the WPUniverse site. http://www.wpuniverse.com/ Going down memory lane: When DrawPerfect morphed into Presentation (for DOS), WPCorp developed a marvelous GUI for DOS. They then added it to WP6 for DOS, where you could either work in the classic blue screen or in the GUI. That went through 6.0a, maybe 6.0b, 6.0c, 6.1 and finally ended at 6.2. I managed to find a copy of 6.2, but it wasn't only WP, but also QP and Presentations. If anyone has copies of the WP6 for DOS, go back and look at the GUI again. Think about the memory constraints, and all the other problems of working with that 640K limit, and I think you will be amazed. It is too bad that that GUI couldn't be somehow worked into or with DP.
