Hi, Don, Sorry I hadn't checked email for some time, so maybe you have already figured this out, but just in case, I have had some formulas where I had accidentally hit the F6 or F8 key, which unfortunately doesn't show on the screen in a formula, but does actually insert an invisible BOLD or UNDERLINE code and then the formula won't save or sometimes can cause a report to crash. Maybe something like that is in there? Also, as I recall it won't let you comment out field codes that have been selected with F4, so maybe that is the problem.
Also sometimes I would have sworn that I had the /* */ correct, but after pulling hair out, I finally saw that one of them was reversed, etc. Hopefully you have already fixed it. Maybe we can see you when your family is over here in CA, if we haven't missed you already??
