I can't ever remember having a problem with function keys in Win XP UNLESS OTHER resident programs have taken over these function keys or you may have unwittingly assigned them to some macro in another program (like hot key start up for programs on your desktop).

As for Win 7, doesn't seem to live well with DP. The best setup would be a multiOS setup under linux, my friend has his DP running quite happily in winxp under linux multi OS system but I haven't had a chance to copy it yet. most of my computers still have winxp, which isn't a bad os to have.

I am no specialist in this but have found that many Function Keys that work in Win XP type programs are rendered inactive in Win7, at least using default settings. Personally, I have always years back had problems with some function keys under Win XP. I have forgotten how I solved it, but they all work now.

Subject: [Dataperf] Ctrl-F7 key

Would anyone know why the Ctrl-F7 key (the most important key for reports) would not work on my Win7 64 bit computer?
