Hi folks,

As I was entering this years data for a yearly survey, I realized that I needed to add a field or two. After last years survey, we added another column to the form.

I have a keep-a-total set up on one field, to keep a running total in the parent panel.

I usually use the export to t-log process to save the data, modify the panel structure and then import the t-log data.

So after exporting the data, I started to delete all the records in the file. And got this note:
     Note
This panel contains at least one field which stores a total in
    a field in another panel.
+----Do you want to-------------------------------------------------------
1 - Undo totals during deletion (and create target records as needed)
0 - Delete the records with no totaling

I understand these choices, but that got me to thinking about the import process.

After looking at both the Reference Manual and Ralph's book, I cannot find anything addressing what happens with the Keep-a-total function when you import a t-log.

I will experiment, and have already backed up the whole database.

Does anyone know what happens in this instance?

TIA.

Rich
