Actually, you can edit a report once it is in a menu. I do it all the
time. Press Alt-F8 to edit the menu, then 8 to edit an item, enter the
menu number you assigned to the report, and then have at it.
What there isn't an easy way to do (unfortunately) is to move or copy a
menu-assigned report to another menu item number, another menu, or the
report list. Whenever I have to do that, I end up having to dpexp the
database, edit the ste file to isolate just the report(s) I need to
move, then dpimp those reports back into the database where they end up
on the report list. Then I can copy them to other menu locations as
needed. Definitely do-able, and not too complicated once you've done it
a bunch of times, but still more difficult than would be preferred.
