vDos/DP works fine on my Win7Pro-64 bit system -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Im Auftrag von [email protected] Gesendet: Dienstag, 18. März 2014 14:36 An: [email protected] Betreff: Re: [Dataperf] Is it time to abandon DP after 24 years?
Malkie, 1. I have several databases with more than 4 panels, and they all run perfectly on vDos 2. One of these databases has 448667 records, and contains multiple text-fields (AnAn) 3. I am *not* connected to a network, but I do have a dedicated hard-disk for my data 4. The Ctrl keys do work normally on my system, including Ctrl-F7 and Ctrl-F4 ?!? Maybe the issues that you had with vDos were bugs in an earlier version? But as far as I can see on my own system, they are no longer an issue... Btw: Microsoft announces the end of all support for XP starting april 1st 2014, leaving us no much choice than to move on to Win7/8 - or to Linux! vDos *does* work on 64 bit systems, even for large DP-databases, and it *does* make it possible for us to continue to use this marvellous software in the future without any hassle.
