Hi Tim,
I ended up deleting all the previous dpspool files I had in the system and re-installing the files I newly downloaded. It worked! I can now print text over the images! I have Windows 7 64bit and I did download and install the WinHelp from MS but I still can't open the .hlp files (and the .gid files). I'm going to haul out an old pc with Windows XP on it and hopefully that works. Thanks again! Ed. The DPSpool.doc (or DPSpool.txt) file gives a brief overview. But the DPSpool-Designer.hlp file is where the full documentation is to be found. It's an old Windows Help file, so if you're running on Windows Vista or later you may have to download and install WinHelp from Microsoft to read it. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=91 Tim On 12/14/2016 4:10 PM, Ed Marfil, MAST UNITED wrote: Hi Tim, I downloaded the files but they look the same as what I already have. You used to have a file that explained the codes but now I can't find it. Would you have it available? Thanks, Ed. Hi Ed, I discovered a bug in DPSpool that prevents text from printing over an image. I also determined what was necessary to fix the bug, at least for bmp, rle, gif, and jpg images. (It still doesn't work for ico, cur, wmf, or emf images.) I've uploaded a zip file containing the fixed DPSpool program along with the original docs and other files that accompanied it to my Google drive, so anyone who wants to can download it from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1KCdv_lD33ZZXNldUtaRU92M1k/view?usp=sharin g Tim Rude On 12/14/2016 12:14 PM, Ed Marfil, MAST UNITED wrote: Hello Tim, I hope this is still a valid email for you. I have misplaced my copy of the reference file DPSPOOL.DOC that originally came with your program. If anyone still has a copy of this file, may I please have a copy? I am trying to print a report file with a jpg image as background to the report. Unfortunately, only the image is printed. When I make the image smaller than the report length, the image is printed and only the portion of the report that exceeds the image size is also printed. How can I get the report to print through or over the image file? Thanks for any help on this. Ed.
