Experience with SQL - Experience with Oracle, MS Access, SQL Server a plus - Experience with .Net (Visual Basic is a plus) Our existing web interface was designed in .net. They are using Statistica Visual Basic (SVB). Don't let this be the hang-up, however. SVB is specific to the statistical software we're using but anyone with visual basic knowledge will understand its format and adjust readily. We're using SVB to create some very customized applications to extract data, manipulate/analyze data, and write data back to databases. - Experience with Windows 2000 and XP - Good communication, organizational and troubleshooting skills are required. - Knowledge of computer/software validation practices specifically under ICH Q7A guidelines and a strong technical foundation in setting up or supporting simulation and production environments as well as network protocols and firewall techniques. (The International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Q7A guidance for the production and control of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), which FDA released Sept. 24 as a final guidance, covers OTC drugs and clinical supplies, but not veterinary products. An ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of network architecture. This person will be tapping into various systems and making sure the existing SQL servers (or others) have the proper security measures in place. This person will also monitor the network and make suggestions if/as required to improve performance.
