Job Description: Creates and/or oversees the design, modification and development of Siebel ePharma (Life Sciences). Takes ownership of application(s) architecture from both a project-based and long-term strategic architecture perspective - application architecture includes meeting desired business functionality as well as scalability, performance, cost and time constraints. Leads detailed and documented design, development, deployment and testing initiatives; uses appropriate tools and metrics to gauge the effectiveness of these efforts and makes tactical and strategic directional changes Obtains requirements from the business and translates them into programs/processes to meet long-term business objectives/ Presents and drives ideas, schedules projects within cross-functional group and with external partners; influences the strategy and direction of the team. Provides leadership for project activities to ensure product performance standards, quality and cost effectiveness; monitors progress on projects and provides direction when needed. Provides design expertise for complex solutions. Provides technical escalation expertise for software problems. Maintains operational support responsibilities for the Siebel 8.0 environments. Requirements Experience with and a thorough understanding of Siebel 7.8 & 8.0. Hands-on experience in implementing Siebel. Background in a technical development environment and solid working knowledge of relational databases (i.e., Oracle, SQL Server), operating systems (ie, NT, UNIX), and hardware platforms. Knowledge core functional areas of Siebel: Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Activities. Extensive familiarity with Siebel Tools and the Siebel object hierarchy to include but not limited to: Applet, View, Application Configuration, Business Component, Business Object, Links, and Joins Configuration. Extensive knowledge of Siebel Workflow and State Model functionality. Extensive knowledge of User Properties and configuration techniques to minimize scripting. Deep knowledge of Siebel's eScript capabilities, including the ability to write complex level scripts where needed. Knowledge of Siebel's Configuration, Scripting and Workflow best practices System Administration, User Administration, View/Responsibility Administration, Siebel Remote. Broad knowledge of Siebel's Data Model. Data Validation experience. Data Mapping/Data Modeling experience. Ability to use troubleshooting techniques to identify root cause of problems. Minimum of 8 years of Siebel functional and technical experience, with 3-5 years of experience in a technical lead role.
