Job Title : PMO Lead Location : Houston, TX Duration : 6 Months Rate : Open ESSENTIAL -Skillful Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and Tools and Product Development LifeCycle(s). -Excellent knowledge and experience of planning and scheduling, gained in a project environment, with at least one project involving an ERP System. -Excellent first hand experience of Microsoft Project, with demonstrated expert use gained through intensive usage. -Experience of management reporting, ideally on project delivery status. -The resilience and flexibility needed to succeed in a demanding and challenging project environment, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities. -Influencing skills needed to challenge unrealistic planning and resource projections. -Influencing skills needed to ensure standards are adhered to, despite competing needs from projects/business, with flexibility to adjust as appropriate. -An ability to work on his/her own initiative, and to take the lead in driving planning activity across the project. -Working knowledge of Earned Value Analysis concepts. -Masterful Application of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. --A recognised relevant professional qualification (e.g. PMP certification) or a willingness to study for one. DESIRABLE -Working knowledge of at least Level 3 Capability Maturity Model for software (i.e. CMM/CMMI) -Experience of working in a Project or Programme Office and of implementing project management processes. -Knowledge and experience of other project management processes (e.g. risk, issue and assumptions management, change control and project reporting). -Knowledge or familiarity of deployment projects for ERP systems (especially SAP, BW). -Knowledge and familiarity with document versioning and quality assurance. -Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Rational ClearQuest applications.
