Job Title Oracle DBA Duration 4+ month plus contract Location Duluth, GA Knowledgeable DBA with solid experience in UNIX/Oracle in client/server environments to operate under a short-term contract. Oracle 9i - 10g; 11g is a plus Oracle ASM; must have Upgrade and migration experienced required; cross platform migration experience is a plus Oracle RMAN; must have Strong UNIX (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, & Linux) skills required; shell scripting is a plus Must have demonstrable project delivery Self starter The candidate is expected to have experience in the following areas: DB Administration of Oracle 9i/10g/11g databases. Must have hands on experience in Oracle ASM and be very familiar with migration of ASM, raw/file system files of databases. Must have hands on experience with RMAN based backup/recovery and migration using transportable tablespaces. Must be able to perform Oracle software new installs and upgrades. Must have strong SQL/Shell scripting skills. Must be able to create instances and database objects, as well as modify existing ones. Must be able to monitor and optimize the performance of the database. Must be able to employ Oracle advanced features including; triggers, stored procedures, replication, dataguard etc? Must have experience with most Oracle client and administration utilities like export/import, datapump etc. Must be able to install, configure, and use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)/Grid control. Must have very strong problem determination and resolution and communication skills. Must be willing to train and educate team in technical processes and procedures as may be required Must be willing to work off hours if required.
