The developer is a team player with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex problems. *Position Requirements* • Strong classic ASP skills • Strong Visual Basic 6.0 skills • Strong .NET coding and framework skills • Strong PL/SQL skills • Strong SQL tuning skills • Strong understating of UNIX (CRON, Shell etc.) and Microsoft Windows environments • Strong understanding of Oracle databases • Must be familiar with the TOAD application • Must be familiar with issue tracking tools • Must have prior experience in writing technical specifications • Developing test scripts and conducting unit testing • Must have the ability to quickly understand the business side of applications • Must have the ability to learn the business side of the client’s systems • Adhering to established methodologies while continuously analyzing processes for improved performance and adaptability • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the customer's management and project teams • Providing development estimates for work items • Responsible for production deployments and adhering to department IT guidelines • Responsible for becoming familiar with State IT deployment procedures • Scheduling and conducting JAD sessions • Developing Prototypes from JAD notes • Troubleshooting and developing emergency issues. *Educational Requirements* • Bachelors Degree in IT, MIS, or CS • .Oracle Certified Associate (DBA, Oracle Certified Associate – PL/SQL), Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist is a plus and .NET Developer Certification is a plus.
