******Immediately Needed A Consultant****** Job Title : DataStage ETL Developer Location : Round Lake, IL Duration : 12+ Month Contract Rate : OPEN Role Needed / Job Description: Please ensure that candidate has DataStage 8.x experience, and working knowledge of Oracle database (SQL, PL/SQL). Ability to read and write effective, modular, dynamic and robust code, establish and follow already established code standards, experience with Change Data Capture, Slowly Changing Dimension Type 2, Surrogate Key Generator, Aggregator, Merge, Sort, Join, Lookup, Transformer, Filter, Shared Container Stages, utilization of Datasets, Parameter files and Parameter sets. Excellent troubleshooting & optimization skills: interpreting DataStage log files, SQL / Data validation, dissecting DataStage code at the UNIX OS level, understanding the benefits of parallelism, drawbacks and appropriateness of using the multi-node vs. single node processing; ability to understand and optimize the surrogate key generator behavior, date range and inconsistent data types handling. Understanding of DataStage abilities and limitations from a scheduling perspective: DataStage jobs vs. sequences, UNIX Cron and UNIX Shell scripting and ability to select the most optimal scheduling solution; ability to call DataStage jobs from the command line Ability to design jobs that can be easily promoted from one (Dev) environment to another (Test or Prod) seamlessly, without rewriting jobs.
