Position: *Sybase IQ DBA* Location: Tampa, FL
Duration: Long term Rate: Open Description:- ¨ Reviewing queries, *IQ query plans *and then tune stored procedures, * canned* - as well as *ad-hoc queries*. ¨ Review *Index Advisor output* and then recommend and set up "*createIndex statements*" to match new *ad-hoc and prepared queries* and stored procedures. Document existing IQ environment and recommend changes to be made for a new IQ Multiplexed environment along with *logical and physical design* recommendations for same. Have experience *building and supporting*a *Multiplexed environment*. ¨ *Troubleshooting IQ performance problems* on an *IBM P-series/AIX 5.3.0/64bit platform* and making recommendations for both *Unix level tuning changes as well as IQ changes* ¨ *Setup, install IQ and configure database & O/S for high throughput*. Experience in *integrating with Business Objects* a plus. ¨ *IQ loader performance tuning and troubleshooting* skills. ¨ Extensive experience in *IQ 12.7 running on AIX*.
