Alternately 10+ years of proven IT experience in systems administration supporting large software development initiatives that are similar in scope and complexity to the CLIENT’s HealtheVet-VistA initiative. Candidate also MUST meet eligibility requirements for obtaining US ADP2 security clearance. Fluent with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and HP-UX. Fluent in Server and Desktop Virtualization products like VMware and RHEV Fluent in large RAID Array configuration Fluent in backup product management (tape libraries, software, off-site storage) like NetBackup Experience configuring Oracle 10g/11g, MS-SQL and Cache’ environments. Fluent with Web Server management and their different authentication schemes – Apache, WebLogic or IIS Some experience with Cisco or ProCurve network device installation / configuration (load balancers, firewalls, switches, routers, terminal servers) Fluent in TCP/IP troubleshooting across different network devices DESIRED SKILLS: HP-UX, Red Hat and Microsoft Clustering. Experience with large scale Oracle 10g/11g, MS-SQL and Cache’ environments Understanding or experience of software development and integration processes, in environments including CMMi/SEI methodologies. Competent and capable in SAN / NAS implementation and management (zoning and characterization). Experience in PHI / PII controlled environments (like HL7). Experience or strong familiarity with Rational tools. Prior experience programming with Perl, Python, JaClient, JDBC and WebLogic. Web Site creation / management Experience with large clinical systems. Knowledge or understanding of Agile development practices and test-driven development. TCP/IP guru Experience with large Solaris systems / Veritas HSM a plus. For senior positions priority candidates should have 5 or more years experience as a BEA WebLogic System Administrator, 10 or more years as a Systems Admininstrator in HP-UX and Linux, preferrably RedHat Enterprise Linux, 10 + years designing and implementing client/server backend system integrations.
