*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** Position : Websphere Administrator Location : Charlotte, NC (MUST TO LOCAL TO NC) Contract : 6-12 Months Contract Bill Rate : OPEN* Job Description / Responsibilities:* Configure middleware related server and client software as needed. Test, implement, and integrate middleware products as required. Script routinely executed production tasks such that execution can easily be delegated to other appropriate support groups. Script routinely requested development tasks such that they can be executed by application development teams whenever they are needed. Ensure all middleware environments are created and utilized in alignment with MI governance. Administer and support middleware products in production, test, and development environments. Create all necessary documentation to build, administer, and support all test, development, and production middleware environments. Ensure that appropriate health-checks are performed in appropriate intervals having corresponding procedures to respond to anticipated conditions. Work with applications developers, database analysts, and other support staff to troubleshoot and/or implement product features. Work with OS level administrators to help middleware product integration into server OS environments. Work with other support teams as needed to seamlessly transition any middleware environments targeted for production at the data center. Create and distribute documentation required for support staff to monitor and troubleshoot middleware related problems from data center. Provide on-call support as needed (24 X 7). Under supervision of Team Coordinator, supports more advanced functions of Middleware Systems Support, such as design recommendation, performance analysis, and development of processes and procedures related to middleware activities. May coordinate activities of the project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs. Typically requires four to five years of experience. *Job Requirements* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to be a competent communicator, both verbally and written. Ability to drive project deliverables and provide support to diverse ongoing tasks on a daily basis. Two to three years experience with the following software products: Websphere MQSeries (Windows 2003 / UNIX). Other responsibilities include performance tuning, problem resolution, systems management and capacity planning, project work and support of user communities. Ability to research utilizing the Internet, vendors, publications, trade shows and seminars. Ability to work with others on an implementation plan and schedule. Project management skills. Ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned work. *Preferred:* WebSphere MQSeries on z/OS (iSeries would be a plus) WebSphere Application Server on AIX and Windows, including Network Deployment. Using the Deployment manager to administer multiple nodes in a cell. WAS clustering and workload management experience is preferred. WAS configurations including JMS Resources, WAS data sources, and JNDI. J2EE Components, Architecture, and Specification WebSphere Portal Server Virtual Hosts including VMWare Some DB2/UDB administrative experience SSL & Certificate Management LDAP concepts, functions, and protocols Specific LDAP Servers (Active Directory a plus) SSO, LTPA and other security tokens TCP/IP and HTTP IBM Tivoli Access Manager (Tivoli Identity Manager is a plus) MQ Series & MQ Clusters HIS (and other HTTP servers) supporting multiple back-end Application servers simultaneously MQ Workflow Configuration (FDL and LDAPBridge would be a plus) WSCP and other WebSphere scripting UNIX/AIX administration is a plus Windows Servers administration is a plus Familiarity with firewalls, routers, proxy servers, DNS, and other network components Ability and experience with understanding and using WAS and other logs as a primary troubleshooting tool Knowledge of software integration methods and support functions and provides guidance on integration including operational support guidance.
