*Human Factor Engineer 6-12 months Contract Cary,NC* The client is seeking a Senior Human Factor Engineer to gather information on user needs and goals (from user research or on their own), and creates innovative information organization structures, interaction designs, page-level content organization, navigation, and prototypes. The successful candidate will promote communication and collaboration among project members by gathering and disseminating ideas from all disciplines within the UCD methodology. *Required Skills:* Degree in design, architecture, HCI or related discipline or equivalent experience. Familiar with concepts of user-centered design. Strong analytical skills. Good writing and communication skills. Ability to synthesize many data into coherent information design direction. Relevant application (Visio, PowerPoint, Illustrator, etc.) and design process expertise. Experience working on Web/software/multimedia development teams. Good client interaction/negotiation skills. Some experience (knowledge of) in information architecture/user interface design. Willingness to learn about and contribute to evolution of laboratory hardware/software configurations.
