Cognos Developer Location: New York City,NY Duration: 6 months Max Rate : $43/hr *Roles/Responsibilities:* Responsible for the Business Intelligence capabilities like reporting, analysis, score carding, dashboards and business event management. Analyze business and user needs and designs Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that support business growth with attention to business value and strategic BI direction. Developing high level and detailed architecture and design documents. Provide an overall reporting solution foundation for the development, implementation and operation for data reporting, modeling, and data warehouse analysis. This includes tuning and optimizing reporting solutions. Develop and support operational and ad-hoc reports using the Cognos 8.x *Skills Required:* At least 5 plus years of Experience in practical hands-on Cognos implementation. Hands on with Cognos 8.x Framework Manager, Transformer, Query Studio, Reporting Studio, Metrics Studio, Events Studio and Cognos 8.x SDK. 3 plus years of experience on relational databases. Experience on DB2 UDB strongly preferred. SQL. Skills like Erwin for Data Modeling, Perl and ETL (Infomatica are nice to have).
