Location: Redmond, WA. Duration: 4+ months Job Responsibilities: MOSS 2010 Admin with good knowledge of SQL Server. Resource will provide primary PE support for the Highlander applications in support of a new instance of production. Resource is required to work Monday - Friday PST with on call support per policy for Priority 1 (Immediate) SRs. Years of Experience Requested: 5 Technical Skills Required: Basic (Minimum) Qualifications: 5+ years of database-related experience in a production environment SQL Server, OLAP experience and competency T-SQL stored procedure development, analysis, and troubleshooting, performance and tuning Knowledge of Windows 2003 / 2008 server and IIS 2+ years implementing and supporting SharePoint BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (or equivalent additional industry experience.) Preferred Qualifications: Experience with performance tuning, failover technologies and strategies SQL Administration including performance tuning and data analysis Database implementation, DB internals MCSE, MCDBA ,MCPITDBA or equivalent work experience/training. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technology and software including Windows, IIS, SQL, ASP/ASP .NET, BizTalk. Implementation and support of Commerce Server Implementation and support of a Content Management System MS in computer science, information systems or engineering Experience working in a 24X7 environment. Knowledge of software lifecycle methodology and Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF). A passion for customer support. Functional Skills Required: - Thorough understanding of service management foundations such as ITIL or MOF - Ability to analyze live-site issues quickly and possess a thorough understanding of client/server architectures and high-availability clustered environments - Outstanding customer service/focus skills - You must possess knowledge in monitoring tools and configuring them, such as MOM/SCOM. - Demonstrated ability in implementing and supporting multi-tiered, leading edge technology at an enterprise scale. - Prior practical experience with change control, source control, disaster recovery and backup strategies required - You must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a critical thinker, with excellent oral and written communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to define and follow best practices and business processes. - A BS/MS in computer science, information systems, and engineering and/or equivalent industry experience required. Deliverables: Provide Production Engineering support including Problem and Release Management. Resource will review and provide supportability recommendations on business requirements documents, functional and technical specs, and test plans. UAT deployment and support will be provided. Creation of Support documentation and training of tier 1/2 staff will be completed by these resources. Production deployment and tier 3 production support.
