Job Title : QA Tester with BI/ETL Testing
Location : Jersey City,NJ
Duration : 6-12 months
Rate : Open
Responsibilities
* Spearhead testing efforts for multiple applications
* Create, augment and enforce processes for functional, system and
regression testing
* Develop/improve QA related templates
* Actively participate in project meetings; JAD sessions, design reviews,
status meetings
* Work with the BAs and PMs to compile and communicate testing results
* Provide assistance and guidance to developers in creating unit test cases,
* Participate in effort estimation and testing strategy and planning
* Review and translate functional requirement specifications and detailed
designs into test plans, use cases and test scripts
Requirements
* Minimum of 4 years of formal QA experience using manual and/or automated
testing tools
* Ability to multi-task across multiple projects within different contexts
in a fast paced environment
* Extensive hands-on experience testing web based transactional
applications, information driven Business Intelligence Solutions and ETL
data testing
* Knowledge of testing distributed transactions in failover and load
balanced environments is a strong plus
* Experience testing Cognos BI based solutions is a strong plus
* Expertise in black, white and glass box testing techniques
* Experience developing, enhancing and maintaining regression test cases
* Exposure to automated testing and HP/Mercury defect tracking tools
* Good knowledge of SQL to augment testing of data driven applications
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Strong analytic, problem solving, and creative thinking abilities
* Knowledge and experience working with relational databases such as
Oracle, MS SQL, UDB
* Must be able to multi-taskand senior support personnel
