Job Title : UI Developer
Location : Jersey City, NJ

Roles & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a senior to mid level User-Interface developer for our
Content Management Platform and Digital Marketing email campaigns. The
candidate will be part of the UI Services team reporting to the Director of
UI Technologies. Potential candidates will work closely with the Marketing
and Product development team to develop usable and scalable interfaces in a
content managed environment and HTML email campaigns.
Requirements:
1. Strong knowledge of pertinent Web design issues including, but not
limited to: XHTML, CSS and browser/platform compatibility.
2. Knowledge of current trends in web design techniques and technology
advancements like AJAX, DHTML, Table-less CSS layout & Conditional CSS.
3. Strong conceptual thinker, with an ability to take Photoshop comps and
visualizes how to execute in XHTML/CSS with attention to detail.
4. Knowledge of all standard web graphic optimization techniques and file
extensions and appropriate use of each.
5. Minimum 5 years experience in hand coding XHTML. Candidates that are
dependant on WYSIWYG editors will not be considered.
6. Minimum 5 years experience in coding CSS. Expert level knowledge of
table-less CSS layouts using DIV's, floats and layers.
7. Familiarity with advanced JavaScript, HTTPrequest/AJAX techniques and
jQuery is highly desirable.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey
concepts/requirements to a variety of personalities. This includes
communicating with an offshore team on a daily basis.
9. Strong knowledge of relevant W3C standards with respect to XHTML & CSS.
Preferences:
1. Must be able to hit the ground running and manage the work with minimal
supervision.
2. Possess a keen eye for IA, design, and usability, and have an
understanding of accessibility guidelines.
3. Be detail-oriented in all facets of work, from code, communications to
execution.
4. Participate in all aspects of software development lifecycle.
5. Preferably, has experience with on-site/off-shore delivery model.
