Our client has an immediate need for a consultant to assist them in getting
up to speed in reporting against their new PeopleSoft implementation. Their
two report developers are new to PeopleSoft and new to WebFocus, and they
need guidance in using the reporting tool effectively.
Here are the details:
Position: PeopleSoft Reporting and WebFocus Consultant
Location: Omaha, NE
Start date: Immediately
Duration: 2 to 4 weeks with potential extension to assist in long term
report development
Skills required: Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and
familiarity with the underlying data model
Experience in designing and developing
reports with WebFocus Developer Studio - Managed Reporting 7.6 (Client uses
version 7.6.11.)
Expertise in reporting with multiple
tools/technologies against PeopleSoft
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to train and mentor others
Description: Work side-by-side with two client personnel who are
new to WebFocus and new to PeopleSoft but are responsible for meeting the
reporting needs of the business users
Provide client with guidance on an overall reporting strategy that includes:
a) Definition of when to use WebFocus and when to use other reporting
tools commonly used within the PeopleSoft environment (e.g. Crystal Reports,
SQR, and XML Publisher)
b) Guidance in the use of other reporting tools
This will not include a formal evaluation and recommendation for purchasing
a new reporting tool. It will be a recommendation of which tool to use that
is already part of client’s PeopleSoft solution.
