Duration : 3 - 6 Months
Rate : $45/hr c-c (no flexibility)
Position Description
Client is looking for a skilled and experienced software engineer. Candidate
will be an adaptable self-starter with a desire to collaborate with the team
and contribute ideas to ensure a successful product. Candidate will be an
experienced J2EE developer capable of working with all levels of applications
from client-side HTML scripting to database SQL. Candidate will be familiar
with web app architecture.
Responsibilities
a.. Troubleshoot, develop and unit test J2EE apps. Apps include a web app
for internal use, external customer, and an app for data interchange with
health care plans, banks, and other partners.
b.. Document the design and operations of systems.
c.. Be a hard-working, adaptable problem solver with good communication
skills.
Required Skills, Education and Experience
a.. Understanding of software engineering principles and object oriented
design.
b.. Experience with development in an agile development environment.
c.. Understanding of Java/J2EE technologies including EJBs.
d.. Proven experience with front-end user interfaces and JSP programming
techniques including HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
e.. SQL experience and good understanding of SQL basics.
f.. Proficiency in troubleshooting and detail-oriented problem diagnosis.
g.. Knowledge of Oracle databases, stored procedures and PL/SQL.
h.. Understanding of Hibernate, XML, Apache, and JBoss.
i.. Experience with Linux.
j.. Experience with EDI, XML, and data transformation processes.
k.. Experience with Crystal Reports, Jasper Reports, or another reporting
framework.
l.. Understanding and Experience with data warehouse applications.
m.. Experience performing application builds and deployments to Linux using
ANT build tools.
n.. Good communication and technical writing skills.
o.. Ability to work closely with a small team in a collaborative
environment.
p.. BS Computer Science or equivalent.
