I'm one of the maintainer of the FAQ at perlmonks and believe me .. you don't want that! Perlmonks uses the Everything engine which would be major overkill for us.
I think what we need is something simple that takes a question, an answer and parent.
It should be searchable.
It should also allow for multi-parenting.
It would be great if different people could have write access to different nodes so they could edit their own section of the data (I'm thinking for associated module developers), and add child nodes. The main FAQ maintainers would also have write access to these parts as they'd have write access to the single 'top' parent node.
There's probably something around, but I figure we can quickly whip up something this simple. I'm willing to make the first contribution to this, although it wouldn't be mason. (I also promise not to be precious about it :))
