Getting DateTime with ActiveState ppm

Hi everyone.

I just tried to install DateTime in Windows with ppm but it crashed ppm. 
 This is what I did:

  ppm> repository add 'DateTime Repository' \
         http://datetime.perl.org/download/5.8.0
  ppm> install DateTime
and then ppm crashes with some perl error (I can't remember the error 
right now; when I boot Windows again I'll copy it if needed).

Is there something I'm doing wrong?  Is this a known problem?  Can I get 
around it?
