Can anyone with a Solaris system get this to fail?  I've tried it on a number of 
Solaris 8 systems (the same at the smoke test) and the local time detection code is 
working.  I'll add support for /etc/TIMEZONE anyways but I'm wondering if it's a 
specific problem with the smoke-box.
