There are two threads running on the p6i list right now dealing with date and time handling. The threads are "Dates and Times" and "Epoch...". Larry Wall has stated that by default Perl 6 will return time as a floating point number of seconds since 2000. Regardless of what Perl 6 does, I'm advocating that Parrot returns TAI. If anyone has something constructive to say please hop in.
