I have the feeling that I started with the wrong foot in this mail list - but I've already apologised ( I only do this once, just like my mistakes ). It seems I can't get straight answers here - I don't know why; the problem I presented, is simple: there are some variants that result in some adding or subtracting basic rules, giving a result. I've already saw the "raw" TZ database - it's confusing, and not very well organized; just an opinion ( I've worked with several dozens of databases in the last years ). So, to be honest Dave, respecting the time that the programmers and users of this list have, and their timing, you could have spent your time explaining to me the calculations of one rule instead of sending me elsewhere.
