I'd like to know about this, too. I recently installed DateTime on FreeBSD
4.7/perl5.8.4 and got 1 or 2 failed inifinity tests. I forced it, and it
seems okay. Even more recently, I installed DateTime on debian/perl5.8.4 and
also got those errors. This time, I rebuilt perl (i wanted no threads, and
debian's stock perl has ithreads) to 5.8.7, and afterwards DT installed with
no errors.
I have *no* idea whether any of that info is relevant -- i'm basically
clueless when it comes to sysadmin stuff...
I think this will be fixed in the version I'm literally about to release.
