I've a request for ISP located inside USA. NAI sells a virus screen
service that basically works by having the customer's domain MX pointed to
our servers that will in turn redirect clean emails to customer's servers.
Some customer works with ISPs that are not able ( or do not want ) to
change their configuration to fit the customer request. The typical
configuration for such users is :
------------------
| customer net |
------------------
| |
\/ SMTP /\ POP3
DMZ | |
...........................
| |
|OUT |IN
| |
| ---------------
| | ISP servers |
| ---------------
| |
| |
\/ SMTP /\ SMTP
| |
| |IN
| |
-----------------
| NAI servers |
-----------------
| |
| |
/\ SMTP \/
| |
|IN |OUT
/\ |
/ \ \ |/
DNS MX \/
{INTERNET}
Basically these customers want to fetch their email with POP3 from ISPs
servers and want that the ISP accept mail for their domains coming from
our servers. Professional ISP inside USA that want to take the job for our
customers that have this kind of problems can contact :
