with solution 2) you're very likely having DNS problems bacause the XMail
machines try to talk DNS directly and it is probably not allowed to do so
( or the firewall has problems ). if you want to use 2) you've to set
SmartDNSHost ( see doc ) to the IP of a machine that is allowed to send
DNS packets outside. Why solution 1) does not work ? are external mail
servers XMail servers ?
