I don’t believe this is possible since the
NAND boot mode, as set by the S3 switches, requires the presence of the
UBL. You could set the switches on S3 to use AEMIF boot mode, so
execution out of reset will start at 0x02000000 but this won’t work with the
NAND flash directly via hardware. Look at document sprue14 (ARM SS
Reference Guide) for more details. Regards, Daniel Daniel J. Allred Software Applications Catalog DSP / End Emerging Equipment From:

[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of R.M. Peter Hello,Members Does
the TI DaVinci EVM support boot from NAND FLASH just
using u-boot.bin, do not use the ubl_nand.bin(first stage boot loader)?
Just like the Samsung's S3C2410X boot code can be executed on an external
NAND flash memory and it just used one ViVi or U-boot.bin as Boot
loader. If we can add the function which can copy
U-boot-self(the first 14KB) from NAND FLASH to Internal RAM
and copy the u-boot's main program to DDR into the start.S ? Thanks
for any help! Best
