Hello,

The stream recorded from the demo is a pure raw elementary stream
generally stored into a M4V file for MPEG-4 part-2 and .264 for
MPEG-4 Part-10/H.264. This is not really a container format.
Players generally requires a container format such as AVI, MP4, MOV, ..
that handle multiplexing (audio and video), timestamping, ....

As Joachim said, a basic conversion from M4V to MP4 can be done using mp4box
(you can get a precompiled binary from http://www.rarewares.org/mp4.html or
the sources code at http://gpac.sourceforge.net/)

   mp4box -add mytest.m4v mytest.mp4

will give you a file that can be played in Nero ShowTime (ateme inside :)
or Media Player Classic or MPlayer or VLC.
Works also for converting .264 to .MP4

The Ateme player also supports natively M4V/264 as a usefull debug
tool. Evaluation can be downloaded from our extranet once you
have registered (http://extranet.ateme.net)
downlod URL is http://extranet.ateme.com/download.php?file=621

Regards,

Jean-MIchel.

Hi Stefan,

I didn't try it myself until now. I got only some hints about the players which are usable from Ateme. They said that the mp4box is able to translate the videos to mp4, which then can be played on PC. Sorry I have no experience with that programs.

Joachim

How is it possible to play the recorded videostreams on a PC?
